Sunny Spots in Winter
This video reminded me about sunny spots in the middle of winter. It is much akin to sitting in front of a fire in many ways. I love those moments when you can just relax and enjoy the simple things in life. It is amazing to think that in this complex world we are living in, it that something as simple as a warm spot can make us the happiest. Maybe a simple life would be more appeasing to many...

Blog Roll: Evangelione
Evangelione is Yeo Mei Ying’s blog/website where she shares her craft of making handmade dolls. She has also had her dolls in a few art shows. She doesn’t use a lot of words but I find her dolls adorably evil looking and love the composition of many of her photos. She has taken a break from taking orders but hopefully she will be able to take them soon. Until then we can enjoy them on...

STITCHES South 2012
I was so excited about STITCHES South this year since I missed the last one. I didn’t have any yarn I needed to find or get for a project so I tried to buy as little as possible. I had thought but trying to spin my own yarn but I think I need to get some knitting projects done first. But here are the items I picked up this year.
I bought a yarn ball bowl from Pawley Studios
I bought two...

Grilled Cheese # 7-9
i have made a few grilled cheeses and haven’t had a chance to blog about them, and I might start blogging about them in chunks, especially since some of the grilled cheeses don’t look like anything special. I have been enjoying working on my food photography though. I will probably set up a nice set for it soon.

Grilled Cheese #5 Crunchy Nacho
Today’s grilled cheese is the same as the spicy nacho (no.4) but with crushed corn chips. I added more jalapeños today but it didn’t make the sandwich unbearable to eat, it actually wasn’t as spicy as the pervious sandwich. But the crushed corn chips added an interesting texture but overall not my favorite so far.

Grilled Cheese #4 Spicy Nacho
Today’s grilled cheese had 2 slices of white bread, 1 slice of Monterey jack, some pickled jalapeño slices, and 1 slice of cheddar. I was a bit hesitant about putting too many jalapeños because of my minuscule spice tolerance. But it was pretty yummy. I am not sure if I care for the flavor of jalapeños but the heat wasn’t bad at all. I think I will add more jalapeños to the next one.

Grilled Cheese #3 Triple Cheese
This is the best one yet!
Not only do i like this one the most, it was also my best cooked one yet! Today’s Grilled Cheese had 2 slices of country white bread, 1 slice of cheddar, 1 slice of muenster cheese, and 1 slice of baby Swiss. The variation in the booklet calls for Swiss, but Swiss just isn’t appealing to me. So I instead used baby Swiss because it is tastier to me. And it...

Grilled Cheese #2 Bacon and Tomato
Today’s Grilled Cheese had 2 slices of country white bread, 2 slices of sharp cheddar, 4 slices of bacon and 1 slice of tomato between the cheese. I loved the bacon on this grilled cheese. I am still not sure about the tomato. I am not a tomato person and the tomato I used didn’t have a lot of flavor which really did not help. So I might have to try making this one again with a...

Grilled Cheese # 1 Classic
Today’s grilled cheese is a classic grilled cheese. It was made with two slices of country white bread and two slices of sharp cheddar cheese. I was surprised I made this grilled cheese so easily and it tasted sooooo good. I think this one was more of a lets make sure you can make a grilled cheese successfully.

50 Grilled Cheeses
The April issue of Food Network Magazine had a little booklet in the middle with 50 variations of a grilled cheese. Since I love cheese and am working on cooking I decided I would try as many of them as I can before I get sick of grilled cheeses.
I will blog about all the ones I try and I will blog about some that I skip, which will mainly happen when I don’t care for something that is...

I have started to like more and more cupcake toppers like these Plants vs. Zombies inspired one, that Cupcakes Take The Cake talk about.
They also talk about edible chocolate words as cupcake toppers. I might be trying this to do this too, I think it will take a lot of practice and lots of eating the mess ups, but that doesn’t seem like it will be too bad.
